Now that's one cool fridge !
story from: 27th October 2008

chill* created a real stir at Salon International this year asking top top hairdressers to do their bit for charity by signing a real live Lec retro style fridge/freezer.
The fridge, mirroring the the chill* retail display units, was on stage at the chill* stand for the whole show and many of the big names in the hairdressing industry popped along to add their names to this unique piece of art.
All those who came along certainly entered into the spirit of it, taking their time to choose the right spot for their name and stopping to pose for pictures with both the fridge and the chill* team.
Take a look and see if you can spot who’s signed it so far ? (Answers below) and also see some of the piccies at the HJI website, just follow the link: http://www.hji.co.uk/MyHJI/photos/chill/default.aspx
There’s still a few more suspects to get so we’re on the lookout for their signatures.
Whilst we are having fun let’s not forget why we are doing it:
We are trying to raise as much money as we can for the Hair & Beauty Benevolent (HABB), the official industry charity³, dedicated to helping hair and beauty professionals facing difficulties in life. It is worth noting that this charity is very well supported and recognised by not only the top hairdressers but all industry related people.
This one off and exclusive retro fridge will finally be on show at the HABB Charity Ball at Hilton Pak Lane London February 2009. The majority of salon’s need a functioning fridge and this will be a very desirable and unique feature to have in any salon. The fridge will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the event with all proceeds going to HABB.
On behalf of chill* a big thank you to everyone who has kindly supported this charitable exercise with their time and effort.
